An account of how Tamrelo came to exist, what it is, what it is not, and the disciplined editorial position it holds within the men's nutrition information space.
Tamrelo began as a private research archive. Its founder — a qualified nutrition professional with a background in food science and a sustained personal interest in active-lifestyle practices — found that the available information on men's nutritional formulations was, with notable exceptions, either too commercial or too sparse to be genuinely useful.
The information that existed sat at two unhelpful extremes: the compressed promotional copy of supplement brands, and the dense specificity of academic nutritional journals that assumed a level of biochemistry training most readers do not have. What was absent was the middle distance — the thoughtful, sourced, non-commercial editorial voice that characterises good food writing in other contexts.
Tamrelo was established to occupy that space. The archive became a catalogue. The catalogue became an editorial resource. The resource is now maintained from Vienna, reviewed quarterly, and updated whenever the published nutritional record is materially extended.
Each ingredient entry in the Tamrelo catalogue passes through a fixed editorial review before publication. The review is not a checkbox exercise — it is a substantive examination of the source record.
The reviewer asks: is the supplier documented? Has the concentration range been independently confirmed? Does the published nutritional record support the functional description we are providing? Are we staying within established EU food supplement reference language?
Where the answer to any of those questions is unclear, the entry is held from publication until the uncertainty is resolved. This is not an aggressive standard — it is simply the standard that a thoughtful reader deserves.
Every ingredient traces back to a documented botanical or mineral origin, with supplier records on file.
Only published nutritional research informs the catalogue. Unverified claims do not enter the record.
No brand sponsorship. No affiliate commercial relationships. The catalogue is editorially and financially independent.
Entries are revisited quarterly. The record is updated when published research extends or revises what is known.
Tamrelo's editorial activities are conducted from Bernardgasse, in Vienna's historically minded 8th district — an area associated with cultural institutions, academic publishing, and deliberate professional practice.
Enquiries from readers, researchers, and nutrition professionals are welcomed. The editorial team responds during standard office hours.
